Jeremy by Peal Jam (1991)
The music video shows a story of a young boy who is being ignored by his parents and bullied by his classmates. At the end of the video the boy, Jeremy, is seen walking into the classroom with a gun and the final shot is a track of the class covered in blood with a look of horror on their faces. Many viewers thought that the video implied that Jeremy had shot his classmates, however, the video was implying that Jeremy had killed himself. The song was based on a true story about a boy in Texas who shot himself in front of his English class.
In 1996 the video became even more controversial when a student shot four of his classmates and said that he was influenced by the video. The video is now rarely aired and is not shown on MTV or VH1.
